Below is a map of Food Deserts in DC made for my Techniques in Spatial Analysis course, I was initially prompted to create a multi-criteria evaluation using Age, Income, and Distance. After completing that first iteration I was tasked with including a fourth variable to the MCE, as well as highlight 3 census tracts with the highest MCE scores, what my model would categorize as the most severe food deserts. My fourth variable included was "16 years or older, bus as primary transport to work" which was a rate per 1,000 residents.
